 OSCAR AWARDS 2015:
The 87th edition of the Academy Awards, awarded by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of the United States to the best films in 2014, took place the 22 of February of 2015 in Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The nominees were announced the 15 of January of 2015
A widespread version about the name of the statue originated in 1931, when the executive secretary of the Academy, Margaret Herrick, first saw the award and made a reference to his "Uncle Oscar." Another version of the origin of the name originated with Eleanor Lilleberg, executive secretary of Louis B. Mayer, who exclaimed: "! It looks like the King Oscar II".

  •  CURIOSITIES OF THE NIGHT
This year's edition is marked by the absence of African American players among the nominees for the Oscar, the first time this has happened since 1998, which has opened the debate on the profile of the 6,124 members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences US.

Music has its curious paragraph with French Alexandre Desplat that six previous nominations and no award, will attempt to break the losing streak this year twice, since it is a candidate for the best soundtrack for The Grand Hotel Budapest and The Enigma Code .

Another curious given that almost half of the participants in the show first debuted at the Oscars.
